About Galileo Print Archive

Introduction of the product

Galileo Print Archive enables to redirect prints from GDS Galileo. Documents are stored on computer harddisc instead of being sent to printer. Documents are sorted by type and renamed accordingly for easy search. The advantages are: cost savings for standard printing, any document can be printed out only when needed. Documents can also be emailed and searched backward. Saved documents are a very good historical archives.

Operation describtion

All documents (files) generated by GalileoPrintManager are stored on computer harddisc. Galileo Print Archive identifies type of file, renames them and stores them in subdirectories accordingly.

Galileo Print Archive diretory consists following subdirectories:

01_agent cpn – contains AGENT  coupons labelled with ticket number, airline code, date of issue, passenger´s name.
02_psgr cpn – contains PASSENGER receipts.
03_uccf - contains universal credit charge forms.
04_itinerary – contains itinerary.
05_refund - contains REFUND notices.
10_sourcedir – directory where files generated by GalileoPrintManger are stored.
11_backupdir – contains backup of all files unsorted and unrenamed.
12_log – contains log file recording all operations made by Galileo Print Archive.
13_wrongdir – contains all remaining unidentifiable files.
