What is Galileoterminal?

Galileoterminal has been designed for travel agents who may need to change travel arrangements in GDS Galileo or Apollo at any time from anywhere. It is a unique application that makes it possible for the Galileo and Apollo system to be accessed by means of standard Internet browser. The first version of this product was released in 2001 and since then our product has been upgraded several times in order to fulfill our clients’ needs. All current contract conditions between the agency and Galileo or Apollo GDS remain the same while using Galileoterminal.

What are the benefits of this product?

• The main advantage is the simplicity of implementation. No installation and no special software is required.
• Galileoterminal can be accessed anywhere and anytime, as simply as you access other websites. All you need is an Internet connection and a web browser.
• Working with Galileoterminal allows users to use the same commands as in Focalpoint (basic tool for accessing GDS from Galileo International). No additional training is required.
• Users can define their own environment – multiple terminal windows, personalised links, shortcuts, colour schemes, screen size, language; recall the latest commands; view the last responses; print itenaries as well as tickets.
• NDCs‘/SMO’s can broadcast to their agencies using Galileoterminal Mail.
• Galileoterminal applies several security methods with a two-password combination against unauthorised usage.
• All current contractual conditions between the agency and GDS Galileo remain the same while using Galileoterminal.
• All upgrades or new versions are automaticly uploaded. That gives the possibility of using the latest version with no extra time spent on loading.

Who is Galileoterminal suitable for?

Galileoterminal provides any agency with all necessary tools for proper flight tickets booking, handling reservations, fare quoting, issuing/reissuing and refunding tickets. It is an ideal full-value tool to access Galileo or Apollo GDS from an office computer, personal computer or from anywhere, where Internet is accessible. In addition, travel agents who are “on the road” most of the time will find Galileoterminal the most useful application thanks to the possibility of booking and finalizing their customers’ travel requirements remotely.
